On the Cutting Edge With Anne Toole
People often wonder how Your Industry Insider stays up on current technologies and developments within cutting edge fields such as gaming and transmedia. I’ll tell you right now: It’s by knowing people like sci fi/fantasy prose, TV, transmedia and game writer/game designer, Anne Toole. When she pauses for a second in her busy schedule (which includes appearing on panels at signature industry events), we’ll corner Anne for an “Industry Pro” profile, but for now we’ll have to settle for reading her blog, Writing is Writing.
She covers a lot of ground on her ironically low-tech site, including recommeding resources and linking to videos and other content about the gaming industry, transmedia and more broadly sci-fi/fantasy content. A lot of it is related to projects she has been involved in, which makes us wonder when she sleeps. She also includes links to other websites related to what she does.
A person could get lost in Anne’s world. Which I guess is exactly the point, and exactly what makes her successful at what she does.
