The YOUR INDUSTRY INSIDER Los Angeles Entertainment Career Mastermind

The Los Angeles Entertainment Career Mastermind is a small group (currently up to 10 people total) lead by Your Industry Insider Founder, industry veteran, and entertainment career expert Jenny Yerrick Martin and designed to help individuals make progress with their entertainment career goals/dreams.

Under Jenny’s guidance, members define their goals and create a strategy and step-by-step plan to reach them, including identifying existing resources and cultvating new resources, troubleshooting problems and overcoming roadblocks, capitalizing on opportunities and course correcting missteps. The LA Mastermind is comprised of a diverse group of motivated, energetic entertainment professionals and aspiring entertainment professionals who not only benefit from Jenny’s leadership, but from each other’s support and contribution.

How does the group work?

The YII LA Mastermind Group is a multi-month program which combines in person, email, and on-line components to help members define and accomplish career objectives on their way to their ultimate career goals or dreams.

The group meets in person once a month in Culver City or West LA (convenient to the 405 and/or the 10). During the meeting, they discuss the goals and progress of each member, with Jenny leading the group and providing her expertise. The members also provide feedback to each other and sometimes Jenny addresses a particular aspect of working in the industry or has an open Q & A.

On the weeks the group does not meet, members email Jenny a progress report on what they’ve done to move toward their monthly objectives. She sends back feedback, advice on breaking through roadblocks, and suggestions to help members continue to progress.

There is also a private YII Mastermind Facebook group where members can share wins, help each other, provide support, etc. Jenny also chimes in as needed.

Who is the group for?

Broadly, anyone who lives in the Los Angeles area who is pursuing an entertainment career. This goal can be as specific as wanting to be a TV comedy writer, a talent agent, a studio executive, a costume designer, etc, to move up in television, or to get in and grow in the industry.

More specifically, it’s for someone who is goal-oriented  and has lots of motivation and willingness to put themselves out there. It can be someone who is new to the industry and has little idea of how things work or how to get where they want to go, or for someone who has been doing what they think are the right things but who hasn’t made as much progress as they would like.

The members of this group also need to be interested in helping the other members with their career goals, providing resources, feedback, and support as needed.

What do the members get out of the group?

This group is designed to give members a set period of individual focus on thier career goals and dreams, creating and taking steps on an action plan to get there + the Jenny’s expertise, guidance, and inspiration + the knowledge, resources, and passion of a group of motivated individuals coming together to push each other toward their goals or even their dreams.

If consistent individual action is taken by the members, the combination of Jenny’s guidance and the group participation will produce measurable progress for the each member toward where they want to be in their entertainment careers.
